We were making flax muffins and I decided to add chocolate chips. "We are adding chocolate chips because today is Lev's birthday and he liked them with chocolate chips," I explained.
"Lev coming! Lev coming!" She shouts gleefully.
"No, Liana, your brother Lev can't come. He died and he can't ever come back. I'm sure he would like to be here and eat these muffins, but he can't come. He is gone forever," I explain. "See, mommy is crying now because it's sad and we miss him."
"Jaal is coming soon, though. He is alive," I added.
"Jaal come. Jaal eat muffins," Liana said in a calm voice, sure of herself.
