Liana's favorite toy

The toy she plays with more than any others are these toilet paper roll animals. They go to school, they take Spanish lessons, the go on field trips and boat rides. Liana likes to be in charge.

Chanukah

Tonight for Chanukah Liana received a small bag with scraps of paper and paper punch outs for her to glue. She is loving it.

Note: she is also wearing a new dress made by Aunt Sue Ellen and her fairy wings because she's just that cute.

Look who's three and a half today

First time in trouble.

Let it be noted, the first time Liana really got in trouble at school she was almost three and a half. The same as Lev. She hit Sam in the stomach. She doesn't know why she did it.

She hits me, or grabs or scratches sometimes when she is having a fit or sometimes just because she is full of so much love she has to grab.

Unlike Lev, she wasn't angry, she was just impulsive. She likes Sam. He was her choice for her "baby daddy."

And so the rocky relationship begins.

Liana had to sit on her own for a few minutes and was the last in line for music class.

She sometimes has trouble keeping her hands to herself, but consistently surprises her teachers by her Spanish ability, interest in literacy and general intelligence.

Singing in Spanish

Liana's Spanish is just flowing out now. She is singing a little song about animals in the forest.

Liana reads

Liana is an early reader, like Jaal was. We don't push it but she likes to pretend to work and asks me how to spell words that she types. Jaal read at 3 and then stopped until 5, so we will see what happens. But she is pretty capable, that's clear.
