Halloween in Monteverde
The Butterfly garden hosted a Halloween night for families. There were activities and then trick or treating through the butterfly houses. A butterfly went into Liana's trick or treat bag for a moment. She borrowed an outfit from Rise and Melinda made masks for her and her doll. She had her first lollipop, and loved it but also was very excited about an apple, which I admit I haven't bought since we arrived in the tropics.

Liana in Monteverde
Here you can see all the toys and books that came with us. It seemed like so much when we packed it. We have already added a soccer ball, some paper and luckily there was a hanging swing here already. The tool box that was here was one of her favorite things so far. Putting rubber bands on her dolls feet and hands was also highly entertaining.
We have seen toucans, bell birds, not mots, and lots of butterflies and kittens.

Arrived in Monteverde safely
Here we are. The brown cabin where Jaal and Melinda are living and the yellow house that will again be our home. Liana was excited to wake up and see bananas growing outside our balcony.
The ride was smooth except for Liana's motion sickness.
We will be settling in and will blog
more later.

Silliest two year old fits.
This week, from Liana:
"I want to eat a bee in my mouth," she cries for the minutes.
A few days ago, "I want to bite Mommy," she sobs on the floor.
Today she sobbed, "I want to draw on the floor."
